How to clean granite worktops

Keeping your granite worktops clean is essential if you want them to look great for as long as possible.
Sure, you might need to have some touch ups done from time to time but you can do your worktops a favour by keeping them clean.

To clean your worktops, you will need pH balanced dish soap, rubbing alcohol, essential oils (if you want to avoid the strong smell of the alcohol), and clean water. Mix ¼ cup of rubbing alcohol with an equal amount of dish soap. Add a few drops of your favourite essential oil, and mix well. Pour into a spray bottle and top with water. You should use twice as much water as you do alcohol. Mix well and, when you are ready, use this solution to clean your granite. For stronger stains, you can use some of this mixture and mix it with warm water (about a sink-full). Use this mixture to wash away the dirt from your worktops.

Remember to never use abrasives. This does not only apply to the cleaning materials but the substances too.
Abrasives can cause serious damage to your granite and you will have to perform significant repairs if you neglect this fact.
