Prevent burns to your natural stone worktops
Natural stone worktops look wonderful in various rooms of your home. They are particularly popular in the kitchen and bathroom. They do cost more than other types of materials but they are also known to be more attractive and durable. While durability is a huge pro, natural stone is never completely immune to the damage resulting from excessive heat. It can be quite tempting to place a hot pot or pan straight on the worktop while you rush to prepare dinner. Just a few seconds of contact can ruin that once perfect finish and restoring it can prove time consuming or costly if you hire a professional. In order to prevent burning your worktops, it’s a good idea to leave a wooden board next to your oven and stove. Leave one board out for each pot if need be. This will ensure that you always have a safe place to
